Any 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged owners out there?

I have an '07 RR (not sport, not SC) that I bought by trading in my Cayenne S. The RR is, hands down, the nicest vehicle I have ever driven or ridden in. The Cayenne, to me, was overrated and overpriced. I should have known better to expect a great SUV from a sports car company.
Statman, are you saying the RR is in the shop more because of personal experience or what you read? My Cayenne was in the shop WAY more than the RR. Plus, when it goes in for service, it costs me nothing for routine maintenance, compared to my $600 'oil changes' from Porsche.
BTW, I get 23 mpg on the highway, 19 mixed driving. (mostly mountain driving). Better than the Cayenne.
I can't wait to have the RR in the snow this winter. As Carcam states, the RR along with my '07 911S cab seems to be the perfect combination of vehicles. (along with my F250 SD diesel for hauling manure and campers).
Great deals are out there. I'd also tell you to check out the LR3 from Land Rover. Incredible vehicle as well.

Three Wheelin'
Buy an E63 Wagon. Or find an Audi S6 Avant. Or wait for the M5 Touring. Do you really need all the off-road crap and that feeling of sitting on a perch? They're all horrible to drive!
As to RR's the local Aston Martin dealership runs them as "support" vehicles and apparently they're only marginally more reliable than Aston's. I was told, somewhat enthusiastically, by said dealer that now Aston was separate that the RR's would be dumped PDQ.

To add another question to this topic....
I need a new SUV for the wife as we have "outgrown" our BMW X3. I want an RR or RR-S, but wish the RR-S gave me a bit more headroom. The wife wants an MB GL - so I need to convince her that they RR (either) will be more reliable than the MB GL. Any feedback would be appreciated!
Thanks,
-B

My friend has a GL which he bought a couple months after I bought my RR (he did not want to spend 85K on something his kids would destroy), my RR has been in the shop once in a year, his has 5 times. The GL is nice, but I like the way the RR drives, feels and looks better.

My wife was interested in the RR Sport for a replacement for her 04 GX 470. We drove it and of course she loved it. Two inputs killed the deal; the first was from the Service Manager of a Land Rover Dealer who I know through my son who said the RR S had an inordinate amount of problems (electrical and leaks, in particular). The second was from the General Manager of a New York area Land Rover Dealer who, when told by a family member (who's in the car business) that I was looking at the RR, said, "why would he do that...I spend my whole day on the phone with lawyers threatening to sue me over LR/RR service problems." Told the wife and, after looking at the Cayenne (too small for wifey but I loved it), MB GL (very nice but no deals), Q7 (too ugly), and MDX (not upscale enough), we ended up getting another Lexus SUV.

I owned a Land Rover once.
Worse car mistake I have ever made in my life.
I sued the dealership and eventually got some work done.
But at one point I was just bleeding cash and had to stop it and trade the thing in on the Lexus (which was one of the best cars I have ever owned).
From a cultural standpoint, in Central America, the women drive Range Rovers to the mall.
Men drive Toyotas in the field.

I've had zero problems. The RRS is pretty mature as its in its 3rd model year. One thing about LR, they are just like Porsche, constantly improving their products. The RRS shares mechanicals with the high volume LR3 and that is in its 4th model year. And don't forget its got free maintenance. I think the poor reputation of LR was built upon the previous models, not the newer ones.

The car I really regret not keeping longer was a 01 Range Rover HSE. Except for being terribly underpowered it was a nice, leather and wood everywhere truck. Classic look, the new ones just don't really do it for me.
