Any 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged owners out there?
I currently have a 997S and was thinking of pick up a clean used 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged. I have heard of some electrical issues and wanted to get any ones opinions out there.
Thanks in advance,

Have you considered a Jeep Grand Cherokee with the Hemi? Or, if you don't live in the snowbelt, a GC SRT8. Both are cheaper brand new than a used RR.
Jeep is the basically the (unofficial) "official" SUV of the Rockies. They're tough and make a statement about practicality over flash. Quicker than the RR as well (especially the SRT8).

I have the '07 Rover SC and really like it. No electrical issues (yet). It's my 5th Rover and I've had a few minor issues with previous ones but nothing big (steering wheel not returning to preset, air suspension). It's a very capable and quiet cruiser, great visibilty and comfort. Actually had more problems with my Cayenne Turbo (first year intro things). The power is just right for an SUV- not overpowering but more than adequate. A great complement to the 911.

Three Wheelin'
we're on our 4th rover. we own a '06 sport (not supercharged) and have been nothing but pleased with it along with the previous three (knock on wood). nothing but a pleasant experience and we're working on the beginning of our third year with it.
not certain what your needs are but you might consider an RS4 before the Rover unless you absolutely need the utility space that the truck offers.
best success

Victor,
Go for the Cayenne S or Cayenne Turbo. In either case, you will have a faster and more sporting vehicle that is likely to be on the road (as opposed to in the shop) a lot more than the RR. With the new 2008 body style, you could pick up a used 2006 or earlier model for a good price. I love my CS.

Victor,
I got an odd call from the local dealer to test-drive the RRS over the weekend. I was not in the market for a 14 mph SUV, but I really liked it. IMHO there is a lot of BMW in the genes, specially on the inside. The ride is not soft or hard, but a compromise. It is a very heavy car. This may sound silly but, it is very nice looking. From what I gather the ride quality on the SC is more harsh and the extra 90 hp will get you from slow to less slow. Others here can speak more to this. I also liked the fact that a lot of the stuff is standard. Not like our cars where we have to pay $3,000 for wiper blades (joke). The RRS comes standard with NAV, BT, phone, etc. A base price of about $60k or SC for about $72k gets you a lot.
My advise would be to call up your local dealer to see if they have the same weekend test-drive.
Cheers.

I have a Range Rover not a sport, and it is a great SUV, mine has the luxury pack and the monitors behind the seats for my boys. It goes through anything, is big and unlike my Cayenne Turbo it does not need two sets of wheels and tires, and has had spent alot less time at the dealer. It was the only Porsche (out of 39 total) I ever regretted buying.

Race Car
I have a RRS S/C. Love it. Enough power and the Active suspension is awesome. Buy a sports car from a sports car company, buy an SUV from an SUV company. Plus, its easily the best looking SUV out there. Not a lick of problem with mine, and LR still has free maintenance so that's not a worry. Its funny that people are saying that Cayennes are reliable. I recommend it, but I wouldn't consider it a bargain at $70K.
