Default Which one would you pick for daily car?

I'm seriously thinking of purchasing another car as i feel i'm driving my porsche too much. I'm averaging about 1100miles/month.

Which car would you guys pick for a mostly 'city driven' vehicle.

1. Mini Cooper S
2. BMW 328i
3. Audi A3 2.0
4. VW GTI

5. Stick with my Porsche (EDITED)

Just need some opinions.

Hi,
I am driving mine about 1300 miles a month. Just
drive the Porsche. It is one of the best cars I have
ever driven in my life.

All good choices, but I'd go with the Mini. I like being involved in the driving process, and I find the Mini the most responsive, entertaining, character-filled car of those four, provided you're going for a manual trans. If automatic is your preference, then I'd go for the GTI with DSG.

I don't know if this will have any appeal, but I recently bought a Mazdaspeed3 as a daily driver. It's a lot of fun, and a practical 5-door layout. The front drive has its own handling characteristics, but still fun.

I'm getting close to buying a new MCS. I've driven the A3 w/DSG, and it's great...like I'm sure the GTI is...but for carving through traffic, the Mini is one of the most fun cars I've driven at any price.

But as mentioned by somebody else...if you're thinking two pedals, get one of the DSG cars.

We're looking for another car and your list is pretty close. The Mini and GTI fall off because they're too young for my wife. You know, how some cars are Chick Cars or too Crunchy. The BMW is just another ..BMW ..been there when they were unique.

AUDI seems to have completely recovered from the 80's hangover. Both the A4 Avant and the A3 would be perfect to haul stuff. I like the A3 ..but can't let it show too much; else it's my car again. For all the product out there; the list of quality stuff under $35k is short.

+1 on the A3 with DSG. Great dog car, Costco car, tired-of-clutching-in-traffic car.
Bonus is - zippy performance and very good gas mileage. At around $30k, it's hard not to love.

I have a 2006 A4 2.0T Avant manual as my daily driver. It's great.
Pretty good gas mileage, good amount of room.
Just a tad bigger than the A3 and the 2.0T comes in a quattro. I think you have to buy the 3.2 in the A3 to get quattro.

I just bought a daily driver back in April. My choice was between a BMW 335i Coupe and a 2007 Mini Cooper S with the new body style. I love the looks and hp of the BMW, and have had BMWs in the past (2002 325CiC, 2005 X3) and they have been great cars. Conversely, I love the fuel economy of the Mini and the sportiness. Test drives of both cars were impressive, though neither compare to my GT3 (hehe). My wife convinced me to go the economical route as I have two 911s and we bought the Mini. I couldn't be any happier with that decision! For under $30K, I have almost every option under the sun (leather, Xenon, moonroof, driving lamps, strips, etc.). The Mini is a blast to drive as the turbo is quite quick, and it gets 33-35 mpg routinely. We already have 6K on the odometer and it has been trouble free. As a daily driver for up to 2 people, I highly recommend it...

Did I mention how easy they are to park? Another reason to get a Mini for your locale...

The MCS would be (and has been) my pick. In routine daily driving, it's actually more fun and more convenient than a 911.

Depreciation on modern Porsches is bad enough. Why make it worse by piling on pointless commuting / utilitarian miles?
