Hi
Do any of you know the paint code / color name of the burnt orange metallic color that Porsche used for their marketing literature example of the 997 Targa?

Bonus points to anyone that knows what years that color was previously used ( or so a sharky P car saleman has led me to believe).

I tried to cheat, Craig, and look on the US website's configurator - but it's down for update.

So, I looked on the German site. It's not a stock color. But you probably knew that?

Could be Nordic Gold. I don't know the code, though.

we had the same experience, which is why i asked here.

the sales guy said it was a "paint to sample color".
but
i thought Cristoblopholous ( or whatever the P car house magazine organ is called ) led me to believe it was a standard "special color" only for Targas.

isn't marketing wonderful?

Nordic Gold Metallic. There were a bunch floating around here in SoCal earlier this year. I haven't seen any for sale recently, though. Also some launch Targas in that color in Florida.

I ordered my Nordic Gold Targa 4S in December '06 and just got it a couple weeks ago. All the paperwork says "997 Metallic paint to sample - Nordic Gold". I wish I could post pics, but I am too new to rennlist for it to let me!
