Default Who to Have Install a Radar Detector in Cent. Arizona?

Once I get my MY08 c2s later this year, I plan to have a radar detector installed. I live in Scottsdale, and wonder who in the area of NE Phoenix or Scottsdale does this well, that anyone can recommend? I am uncertain which unit to go with yet, (K40 or Escort or whatever) however I know that some parts of the car & dash may have to be removed in the process, which makes me a little nervous.

Anyone have any experience with any of the installers in this area?

Do it yourself and you know it will be done properly.

I bought an 07 997 C4 last November in Scottsdale and had Signature Audio in Scottsdale install a K40. Great guys and very professional. I had them install it before I picked up the car at the dealer. Good luck.

Sedona997,

Thanks for the reply. I did visit Signature Audio's store a few weeks ago and they seemed to be a first class operation and your vote of confidence tends to reaffirm that.

OT I know, but did NS Porsche offer and/or recommend a clear bra done by one of their sources, and if so, are you happy with it?

I have had Ryan with Protective Film Solutions.biz, which used to be Ultra-Shield, do 4 cars of mine over the last 3 years.
Excellent job, very detail oriented.
Also had a black mesh grill from Performance Products installed when the K40 Front and Rear with Laser was installed. I was tired of cleaning the debris from the radiators of the MY 2000 986 that I had previously.

I can vouch for signature audio. This put an aftermarket nav and k40 in my dad's 996, and a k40 in my mom's Cayenne Turbo. They do very nice work.

I had both my M3 and 997 done with V1 by Greg at Ultimate Auto Works in Scottsdale. Highly recommended. http://www.ultimateautoworks.com/

I had Signature Audio install a Cayenne XM radio in brand new C4S Cab. Couldn't ask for better service, or installation. Would definately recommend them. Might have them upgrade speakers and audio amps in the future, the original Bose System is very good especially with top down.
