They look very nice. PLEASE, PLEASE weigh them without tires and let us know how much. I'm very interested in various wheel weights.

Thanks,

MC

i think they are .there is a used car dealer here in ft.lauderdale that specializes in Porsches and other highline and exotic cars that is the distributor for those wheels . i believe it is called unique motorsports www.uniquemotorsports.us.

Looked at the site www.uniquemotorsports.us. I don't like their wheels...they seem to all be a takeoff of those listed above. Post pics when installed.

I would have saved my money and kept the sport designs which IMO may be the best looking Porsche wheel ever.

I agree, although a pain in 'the A**' to clean. I am no expert but having 19" x 10" wheels on a 997 is not optimal.

Exclamation

The fronts are almost 29lbs, and the rears are 30.0lbs

I found these collection of photos, as to what they would look like, but on a 996.....

YIKES! those are heavy! That is a lot of unsprung weight for a sportscar like a 997.

Yep, very heavy - not good. In my opinion, not a good choice for a 997.

they look a little funky on that 996...there are better choices out there but it's all about what you like.

For perspective.......my Champion RS98's are 18lbs and 19lbs. Almost a 50lb difference between all 4 wheels.

Excellent piece here by RonCT on the issue.

Weight is directly related to horsepower. It is estimated that every seven pounds you eliminate, gains one horsepower.
There are many benefits to reducing unsprung weight. One of the most noted is that, 1 kg of reduction in unsprung weight is approximately equal to 6kg reduction in sprung weight.

i know its a bit OT , and they are not even priced in the same ballpark as the wheels you just purchased , but Champion wheels are IMO a great choice for an aftermarket wheel. they are lightweight , great looking, and well made . as well as properly offset for Porsche cars .
