Thanks for the info and lesson guys. I will relay to my wife that I'd rather have a quality wheel on my toy. Will contact the guys a wheelenhancement and see what is what. I do like the Champion and Kenesis wheels as well as the HRE ones but finding a distributor/seller here on the East Coast is SO difficult. I'd love some locally I could go to if I had problems but all the local shops in the Metro DC area just want to "dub" your ride out with 22" and chrome. Not what I am looking to do...thus the nod toward ebay.
As for used wheels I would entertain that as well...thanks for the lead.

Maybe check with Champion in Pompany Beach FL. http://www.championmotorsport.com/index.htm
Unless you care to hang on to your stock wheels I think they may buy 'em back towards the price of the new wheels. I really like my RS 98's. Light as feathers but bullet proof, easy to clean, easy access to clean the calipers and I also happen to think they compliment the car nicely without too much fanfare.

I bought a set from the same vendor on eBay but I have not yet put them on my car (C2S).... Below are some pictures of the wheels (from the site) 19X11 Rears just like the ones I bought.... I'll repost again in a little while once I have the time to mount the wheels on the car, and probably do a write up

Just a side note... I put my Fikse Profil 13s onto my car while on the jack (tires are on the way) and the 18" wheels fit wonderfully - still plenty of clearance for brakes. Weights are 19 and 20 lbs respectively for 8.5" and 11" widths. Plenty of tires to pick from in R-compound - and I'm not talking about the new hybrid 19" PSC that comes on the new GT3, which is the only R-comp in 19" size.

Ron, how much are the 18" Fikse or other wheels that would be good track wheels?

Well, that all depends. I forget all the options, but there are many threads on the subject that will give you better info. I think it starts at about $2600 for a set of CCwheel and goes up from there. Or, you can probably get a set of 18" oem 997 wheels for about $1k from what I've seen in the past. Go to tirerack and search for 997 base car wheels and you'll see the 18" options with proper offsets. Fikse and Forgeline - talking $4k and up probably.
