Default last post about turbo wheels on a non-turbo

So I finally had a chance to put the turbo wheel (turbo offsets) on the rear with 305 tires and all, they fit perfectly!!!
i know a number of people were trying to pick up a set, so here you guys go, i also added 15mm spacers to the front to try and balance out the aggressive rear offsets.
i like the look.
now will someone buy my kinesis wheels

thanks, this is such a cheap upgrade since they dont look so hot on a turbo, but the offsets and wider tires are great on a narrow 997.
there should be tons of sets available on ebay.

what do you mean?
the rears are 305 vs the 295 which come stock. also the offsets are much more aggressive 51 versus the 67 of the stockers.
some people will argue that this is not how porsche meant the car to be but i prefer the more aggressive stance on my cars.
buy a set of used turbo wheels vs aftermarket custom offset wheels= cheap upgrade since the 997 turbo owners are removing these wheels even before they take delivery in exchange for some better looking wheels or maybe 20's.
was that what you were asking about?

I haven't seen a brand new take off set for sale very cheap and most every turbo (at least here in S Fl) have the stock rims on...how much were yours?

they are going for 2K to 3500 on ebay.
the puppy is already lowered, on techarts so not that aggressive, but the suspension is so stiff that if their is uneven pavement the car looks higher at different corners

Very nice! Thanks for posting a pic. I noticed today that the turbo wheel option on S models is only $890 vs $2440ish for the non-S. I'm really surprised I don't see more turbo wheels on non-turbo 997's around here.

they don't look good on a turbo but they look good on a narrow body?

i suppose everyone is entitled to an opinion!

not a fan on either.

Hi Raffi, thank you for posting your pics as promised! This just made it for me, I'm going to fit the Sport Design wheel with offset 51 this week. Are there any rubbing issues? Difference in handling? Kind of hard to see but do they go outside the fenders in the rear? Btw love your color!

From the looks they fit under the fender fine.. This thread should be brought back up every time someone ask what the most offset you can put on the rear of a narrow body car..Thanks for posting Raffi..How many times have you changed your wheels out now? Can I tell what wheels I want and you can get them. Run them for a couple months then sell to me for cheap.LOL.......... By the way you have a good eye for the stance of a car.

thanks guys, this is my 4th set of wheels including the originals that came with the car.
the offset is perfect, no rubbing, and it looks like there is room for a couple more mm.
i think anyone who can get a set of widebody oem rears in any wheel should.
the classics for example not only have a better offset but also are designed differently and the spokes go in deeper.

Raffi - when it comes to "shoes" for the car, you are rapidly becoming the Imelda Marcos of the 997 world.
