The options debate

I ordered my car with its many options because i knew i would keep it for years.I could care less about resale value. And last but not least high quality leather stitching done by master craftsmen sure beats the hell out of cheap plastic or pleather

I'm afraid that the majority of 997 buyers today are more concerned with moving the car quickly and then off into something different. I keep cars for a long time.

Tubi is pretty quiet on light throttle and sitting at idel it does not seem much louder than stock....but it wails a super nice note above 5000rpm full throttle.
I live just a few exits right up I-75 in Apollo Beach. If you are up this way let me know. Also Saturday in Clearwater at the Starbucks on Ulmerton rd there is a big exotic car get together.
see ya, Mike

Fronts weigh 18lbs and rears 20. Not sure what the stock rims weigh but this is supposed to be substantially lighter. I do Tampa runs now and then and maybe I'll take the back road next time. I'll let you know. You go to the Starbucks gathering every week?

IMO, buy all the bells and whistles you want because the car is supposd to be maximum fun. The only restraint would be not to get stuff which junks up or bizzy-fies the car. It is already looking rather cluttered (in the interior) and doesn't need any more jazz on the outside. Weight savings as a motive for not getting options? Really? "Shaving tenths" is not an issue for a street car. Increasing gas mileage? Please!
