Advice Needed: Used 03 TT or New 06 C4
I am looking to get my first Porsche and I am considering a 2003 TT with 34000 miles (from a dealer with CPO warranty) or a new 2006 C4. I am being offered both vehicles for the same price ($75,000).
What would you do?

I don't think you could go wrong with either car...BUT
There's nothing like your own brand new car! Plus the 997's have a very nice interior, a few more refinements and changes etc. The only reason I'd go with the Turbo would be because of it's extra power. Even then a C4 is no slouch!

Owning neither, I would say go for the 997 C4:
1) New car (not sooo important, but nice)
2) Vastly better interior
3) Numerous refinements
However, the Turbo makes a very compelling case too, and 34K is really nothing on that engine. Either way, you won't be making a bad choice.

This is a reponse received on the 997 Turbo Forum:
"M64/GT1 derived block with true dry sump vs the POS M97 block with "integrated dry sump" and a Cayenne RMS?"
Would it matter to you?

I would buy a preowned 997 Carrera "S" with a few miles on it vs. a standard Carrera 4. For mid 70's you can buy a well optioned 06 S at many dealers. Do a search on Porsche.com. In fact there are a few on this site under the For Sale section.

I think the extra power and the PASM makes a huge difference on the S even with a tip. The PASM really improves the ride quality in my opinion. I have owned a standard Carrera and now a C4S, get the S.
