Default Fabspeed cold air intake. Any operators here?

Flipped through Fabspeed's website..........trying to figure out what's not to like about this.:

All 997 Products 2005+
Simple to install under 20 minutes with Torx screwdriver.
997 Cold Air Kit gives +10HP and better throttle response.
20% more COLD AIR airflow from outside the engine compartment. More airflow= more power and improved sports car sound! 997 cars with stock mufflers and our MAXFLO Cold Air intake upgrade will have slightly enhanced sound from their exhaust system from adding ONLY the airintake to any 997 with stock mufflers. Complies with Porsche factory warranty.

http://www.fabspeed.com/997_997S_997GT3.html

For $225 and 20 min. with a screwdriver?

Makes you car sound better and that is it. Check out the Vertex Schnell version of this product because it is the same thing and $100 less. Or check out the thread on the Home Depot rubber hose conversion...it works too for only $10....or check out the silicone hoses you can buy in line for around $50...they work too.

Called Vertex yesterday after it was recommended by someone else. Their website only lists C2S for suitable application and sure enough.......... they won't guarantee fitment on a C4S. What car was yours installed on and why did you remove it? Just curious.
Thanks

It will work on all the 996 and 997's.
I replaced it with the K&N CAI, which is similar to the evo one.
both of these cold air kits just add some extra sound, if any power is added it is very difficult to notice
