Every week I must thoroughly spray the brakes with the hose (when cold)...
Hmm... it 'might' be the rust?

Did you go for a little spiritual drive right after each spray, so to completely dry out the disc/pad/etc.? As we all know, the P-car pad/rotor will rust almost instantly after wet...

Everytime I washed my car, I drive it a couple miles with some gentle braking, to let everything dry out completely. No squeaking on all my P-cars.

Just a thought,

With best regards,

Mine squeals like a stuck pig on about 1/3rd of the slow braking situations. With the windows up and the Stones playing on the stereo, I normally don't hear it....

Nor should they!

If the rotors were manufactured out of tolerance by the slightest amount then they will set up a vibration causing the squeal. I don't know if Porsche brakes are the same as MB's but I went through a lot of issues with squealing brakes on my MB's and the only cure was new rotors and pads; one time they had to replace the front rotors twice within a week due to a brand new defective set. Recently MB has finally issued a TSB for the squeal and they have been replacing rotors and pads on certain models.

This 997S was my first Porsche out of many, that I've ever experienced a brake squeal with.

I have no squeal at all. Stock 997S pads, steel rotors.

No squeal with stock pads. Louder than a dump truck with Pagid yellows ...

Hi,
Racing Blue pads and copaslip. This
stuff is what the doctor ordered. I am
on my Third set of Blue pads. The Laguna
Seca track eats up the blue pads.

My stock pads never squeal. My Padgid Yellows and now the Performance Fristion PF97's squeal and howl...but that is race pads.
