removing warning from leather sunvisor
I have removed the ridiculous warning from my 996 which has the standard sunvisor. Do I use the same method (alcohol) on leather, or will it damage the leather,
again,thanks

I have removed it from my natural brown leather visors. Worked very well. It was not simple, necessarily. Whatever you wind up using as a solvent, obviously test it well in a less noticeable area. Most of what I used was elbow grease. I also did the same for the opposite side, but wasn't pleased with the finished look, so I masked them off and resprayed them with that Krylon plastic bonding paint (black).
I'm somehow thinking that I used either that goo removal stuff and/or brake cleaner. (The brake cleaner is not good for most plastics--they will melt).

When my ex wife was working as conservator at a major European museum they used mineral spirits (if I remember correctly)to restore old works of art made with leather. Sooooo, you can try mineral spirits (not paint thinner) and hope for the best.

On the leather side of the visor, I was able to just peel the sticker off without using any solvent. The sticker had many small slits in it that would not allow it to peel off all at one time however. But in less than 5 minutes, I was able to remove the entire sticker. No residue was left over either.
