Fog lights don't come on: What's up ?
any one wish to take a guess at why the fog lights won't come on?
yes, I turned the switch and pulled out... other than that
I looked for a fuse (no) must be a relay?
Trip to the dealer?
Also the trunk light doesn't work. Related? Virus? Bird flu?

My fogs didn't work on my 05' either even after I installed Hoen bulbs. So I took it to the dealer and he said it was a simple programing error from the factory and that they've never worked....

that's how i noticed my fog lights were not working - put in new Hoen bulbs, no go, put the old ones back in, no go...
wow... computer programming error, i wouldn't have thought of that.
off to the dealer
thanks guys

The A4 i used to drive purposefully only had foglights in the rear on one side only...i thought that was weird, but that's what Audi decided to do...maybe there's some overlap of engineering ideas b/w the 2 companies. incidentally, i had to take the A4 into the dealer several times to have bulbs and/or wiring replaced, otherwise, the car was flawless, but it was annoying. Don't see how hard it could be to design lighting systems/bulbs that work.

My 02 MB has only one rear fog light too, I think that's standard for German cars sold in the US

Just to clarify for everyone. Porsche has been installing the wiring for rear fog lights for decades. The German market only requires a single rear fog on the driver's side,--the UK market, for example, uses two. The US market is now emulating the German in that configuration.
With the myriad of issues cropping up for you (after changing bulbs) it sounds like the system needs to be reset at the dealer. It further reinforces my observations with these cars,--if it's not broken, don't mess with it!

stopped by the dealer and it doesn't seem as simple as placing a check mark next to the foglight option on the pwis. the pwis says there are some faults but i didn't have time for them to trace them down
So only half the horn works(?) no trunk light and the fog lights are off. So looks like a future appt to figure out what's going on

Yeah, the horn has two "emitters". Only 1/2 works? That's kind of funny, for some strange reason...
Sounds like those three "facilities" are tied to one bus node, and that node controller is whacked out.
Remember when cars just had batteries, switches and wire?!?
Let us know what the fix is, Bob...
