All fellow Chicagoland Porschephiles, I encourage you to check out what LAPS INCORPORATED (web: www.lapsincorporated.com / Shawn Young at 630-205-0055) has to offer to you if you want to take your car to the track! Lots of track time, great instructors, and a great group of people.

Question for Chicago Rennlisters - what is that office building on the North Side of I-88 with PORSCHE written very large? My wife & I were visiting my brother over Christmas and we drove by it at night. I searched the web and couldn't find anything about Porsche having any business offices in the Chicago area. I can't recall the exact location but I don't think it was as far west as Aurora.

A local opportunity ... If anyone is interested in a Chicago-area group buy of AC Hydraulic automotive jacks from UltimateGarage (www.ultimategarage.com ) then drop me a PM.
A group buy of jack stands was just completed over in the 964 Forum - JackStand Group Buy and I was planning to buy an AC DK20Q floor jack.
If there are 4 or 5 local buyers then Steve G can offer an additional discount of 5% on jacks and prepaid shipping. However, all the jacks would be shipped to one address - anyone have a loading dock? - and we could each pick them up from there.
If interested then please PM me.

I'm a few responses late, but I knew a guy a few years back that took a job at Porsche Finance in Aurora. A company car was part of the deal. He lived in the city and joked he was the only guy who didn't care what happened to his 911 bumpers with street parking.
It definitely makes for a more exciting commute than working for BMW finance in Schaumburg right off I-90.

Saw this thread and wanted to chime in (better late than never). I have a Targa 4S, live in the city (lakeview neighborhood), bought it in MI where I also live but will service it at MotorWerks in Barrington where I have rec'd great service considering I didnt buy from them. A little frustrated at all the traffic at odd hours when i want to rip it (never really noticed when driving a Jeep!)
