Hi new to the site here. I wonder if someone is willing to give me the quick rundown of who is who (who do i need to know on this site), what we talk about (just 997 or any porsche). Anything else I need to know?

Welcome aboard. There are many model specific forums on rennlist covering all of porsche's model lines. To get the best answer to your questions it makes sense to post on the appropriate model forum. As far as who's who, it depends which forum...just stick around a while and you'll see who the regulars are. Also, most new guys post pics of their porsche as part of their introduction.

Not really, there are many here who have around 20,000 posts or so who have been here longer than I have. Compared to them I'm a newbie, as compared to me you are a newbie. It's all relative.

There is a special forum that serves as the Rennlist Lounge where many of us hang out at to discuss Off Topic things besides our particular models of p-cars. You need to sign up for membership to gain access to those.
