Will 305/30 19 fit on the rear Carrera S wheels (Lobster claw) that were an option on my Carrera? The wheels came with 295/30 19 but I have seen 305 also used. Will this fit on narrow body cars, or only the C4 widebody cars? If so, are there any disadvantages other than a slightly higher cost?

Actually a 11" wide rim is fine if not a perfect fitment for a 305. This is a similar setup that I plan on but I would like to do a 245 in the front. A 295 tire is actually at the limit with a 11" rim, recommended rim width for a 295 is really a 10.5" rim.
Here is a snipit from Tirerack.com...

305 Michelins fit perfectly on the rear of the narrow body C2 997S, even with H&R springs. I put 5mm spacers on the front to increase the track width in the front.

And the Sport Design wheel w/305s is 11.5" wide.

295/30-19 10" to 11"
305/30-19 10.5" to 11.5"
315/25-19 11" to 12"
Looks like Porsche puts the 305's on 11", 11.5" and 12" wheels
