Default How many miles and years do we put on our 997's?

There are some of us that buy one every year. But I would like to know how most people keep their 997's How many years and miles, Is going naked in 4 years When it's time to go. German cars use to last forever, is that still the case?

I sure hope so. My car was not supposed to be a daily driver but I can't help myself no will power hehe.

I have a little over 10k miles now, probably will hit 13k by June, my one year anniversary.

Took delivery in January when we had a heat wave and put 500 miles on in a week. I usually put 15k a year, and figure it will probably split 7k 997S and 8k A4. I can't imagine why I wouldn't keep this car 10 years or more.

I put 15k a year and really only use it for road trips. So in 4 years it have 60k on it. Do you guys think I'll still be happy with it. Maybe I should trade just before the wareenty expires?

My car has 24,000 miles and counting. It will be a fair weather and weekend car shortly (Has been my daily) but I plan to keep it 6-10 years, possibly longer if it remains trouble free.

Daily driver; less than 10k miles/year, and about 2.5 years old now...will probably sell it sometime this year for another 997, maybe a GT3...depends on what the model line will be like for 2008.

How do you explain that to your wife or sig. other? My wife accuses me of everything from having an affair to playing hooky from work and home. She just "don't get it"

I'll soon hit 10,000 miles on mine. Have had the pleasure of its company for 6-1/2 months nearly. I had estimated an annual 10K and figure that will settle out to be the number over the next ten years. I keep all my cars for long periods of time (ten years is nothing to me). While the durability issue is always in question on these new 911s, the technology is what seems to bring us over to them. The older technology just doesn't hang in there as well, hence the move to something new.

I have had too many garage queens. (avatar was not one) This 997 has 6,000 miles on it but will be my daily driver soon. I plan on enjoying it to its max!
