I told you there would be a quiz. I just didn't think you would don the dunce cap so eagerly.

The sad thing here really is that you probably actually believe you know what you're talking about when you don't even have the slightest clue at all. That is sad indeed. And embarrassing too. Do you actually believe anybody here at all thinks you could possibly be right?

All I have to say to you is hear me now and believe me later, the way to knowledge is to first acknowledge your ignorant ways.

Back to the supercharger question.
Don't know why you would need it
1: Cold-air intake 10-12 HP
2: Exhaust, headers, Cats, 25-38HP
3:ECU programming 15-30 HP
There's almost 75 HP!!

If only it worked that way... I remember from tweaking my M3 that you could dyno each part independently, and then dyno with all installed and you would never get a result that is a sum of each part on its own. CAI alone might be 10, ECU might be 10, and Headers/Cats/Exhaust might be 25. But if you did all of them together, you might only see 35. Not a technician so I can't explain why this is...

I'm the guy mentioned in post #2....Had a TPC supercharger installed on my 2006 997 c4s over the past summer. The initial install was a story by itself....the results though are still being realized...one smile at a time....Although my ride has been confined to its spot in the garage due to historic winter here in Boulder Co. I look forward to really seeing what this beauty will do later this month..Up to this point, the general response of passengers has been the same "Holy S...!!!!!!!

When it warms up and the roads get better we should compare - I have the Ruf conversion on a C4S - I'm near DTC.

Sorry for the typo, your Ruf supercharger. PS Did you modify any thing else besides your air intake and modified chip?

The only thing I added to the normal Ruf kit (intercooled alum intakes, 100 cell cats, etc.) was AWE headers so I have real hybrid exhaust - AWE to Ruf to PSE. Had it done at the Dallas Ruf Auto Center.

Some people on this forum are hilarious. Any mod to the stock car is trounced upon. Just a little while ago it was lowering kits killing shocks. Today it's stock brakes not being up to a SC. Get real, the brakes on these cars are great are some of the best on the market for their intended purpose. Am I mistaken that they are very similar to the ones that come standard on the 996TT? If true, how does one even debate this?

Hahaha, that's sort of what my Dad says...I'll ask:

me-"So how did he/she like it?"
dad-"Well, they suddenly became very religious!"

I'm trying to convince him for the SC kit
