Don't use Vista. It has DRM (digital rights management) which is good for Hollywood but not for you. Do you want to do what you want, or be managed? I am using Ubuntu 6.10 which is free, works great, has no virus problems, and I can do whatever I want.

I am actually looking to get Dell's new high-end system soon,
but after reading this : LINK HERE (just one sample, I've read more similar articles)

I'm having 2nd thoughts. Not that I will be switching over to a Mac,
but this could actually mean more new customers for Mac's.

Default Hmmmmmm .... and NO, I don't ... But,

1st .... who cares (altho there are over 16 pages of responses to this question),
and 2nd .... shouldn't this be an OT thread?

BTW, I'm still trying to figure out how to change the wallpaper on my '82 MAC. Does it have wallpaper?

Cheers ...............

Did you hang on to it? I really wish I had kept my ancient computers - you gotta figure that in 20 years they will be major collectibles.

Yeh, I kept my first Mac Classic - it's in storage somewhere!

And I restored my fave arcade machine from the 80's and have it in my home office for 'therapy breaks' between con calls
