Cold Spring Tavern perhaps? Located in the mountains off Hwy. 154 between Santa Ynez and Santa Barbara.... http://coldspringtavern.com/

DJ: Unfortunately in an effort to pack as lightly as possible, we ommitted our digicam USB cable. Sorry, no pix till Friday I'll try to make it worth the wait though.

I'm hard pressed to remember the bar's name. It might have been the Cold Spring Tavern. The wood building certainly looks similar.
However, I recall it as quite a bit more run down. With a sort of dangerous edge. Not the idyllic spot shown in your weblink.
Or maybe that's just my subconcious making it more of an adventure than it really was. I love when that happens!

Cold Spring Tavern,--popular with the bikers more today than yesterday. And the bikers,--much older than yesterday. It's a nice cruise by spot with a cabriolet. Dinner is always great tehre, on off nights. By Friday and Saturday night it is a busy place.

When headed up Rt 1 in the Big Sur area don't forget to stop at the Bixby Bridge.

Chris, make that a possible 12 inches tomorrow for those of us in the Litchfield Hills. I wait patiently for Friday. Drive on my friend, drive on.

Took a drive to Pismo for lunch yesterday--fulfillment of Valentine's Day duty.

Perfect day, light traffic. Felt guilty--especially after seeing the weather conditions in the north east and mid west.

Been up and down hwy 1 a lot, I really need to check that place out.

Would those bikers happen to include mountain bikers too?

Hi all. Was up very late last night and have downloaded what amounts to over 300 photos. Note to self: NEVER take the wife's point and shoot on a trip like this again even if you have to sit your good camera on your lap the entire drive. I've had to fix white balance, saturation, exposure and contrast just to make them somewhat viewable. I'm still planning a nice writeup, but probably won't get to it until the weekend. For now, here's a few for those that asked:

Limekiln State Park scenic view spot off highway one:

This is one of my faves of the entire trip also at Limekiln:

From the 17 Mile Drive near the Lone Cypress:

The sign all Pcar drivers pray for. And yes, it says NEXT 74 MILES!!!!:

Hope you enjoy. More later.

Default Wow ... !

Chris ...

If the rest of the '300 shots' are as nice as those posted, we'd all be quite envious of your car and your trip.

Beautiful car and excellent photogs as well. I'm green with envy, m'friend.
