Out of respect for the car, only if next of kin has been duly notified and with their approval.

Pssst. I'm with you. Hope someone posts the pics.

A car was totaled during my PDE in 12/05. While obviously your call, just be aware this has happened before and will no doubt happen again. The unlucky driver back then had no insurance and it really ruined his weekend

Do they still close out the Master's course with a hot lap in a CGT?

Definitely the high point when I attended...watching Jeff Purner pilot, whilst I enjoyed the vista from the passenger seat.

no CGT hot lap for us, we asked and a few participants tried negotiating to no avail. The GT was either gone or hidden from us on sunday.

Thanks Ben. There is no such thing as 110% anything. It's 100% or something less.

Yeah, and you even hear people saying "give it 150%" which obviously means those giving 110% are slackers.

[QUOTE=icon]
do you know jeff purner well?
QUOTE]

There's a name I recognize. Jeff Purner, David Murray, Cass Whitehead and John McCracken (RIP) were my driving instructors at the Road Atlanta Racing School in 1989.

We were driving the "new" 300ZX at the time..

Default just returned from PDE

Just finished the two day PDE at Barber MSP yesterday on the 7th. A great program run by true professionals. I can only imagine that they have their share of track mishaps, as the best part of the program is that you get to run the cars pretty aggressively. They are true pros and figure out quickly who they need to keep at slower speeds, and who they allow to pick up the pace as the course progresses. On the second day, as I was running the Carrera S around, I was thinking it wouldn't be all that hard for a knucklehead to run off the track and do some damage. It is a race track, and sh*t happens on race tracks. I remain impressed that they run a program that allows participants to hang it out there a bit, and that the lawyers have not dumbed it down to the point where you can't get your heartbeat pumping.
They did rollout the GT, but the ride was reserved for the cute girl who participated- can't blame the PDE guys for that call.
