At least this is how it reads on the basic 2 day course maybe the masters language is different but I doubt it. When I went in November to the base class I did not get the optional insurance. When I do the masters I might.
Based on your post, and the fact that pde accidents seem rare, I feel better about skipping the insurance. Thanks.

I am taking the insurance every time... I don't want to think about not crashing all day long - it'll limit my enjoyment.

I can't wait to do the PDE.

This was an extremely rare incident and is a testament to the level of instruction and class of the whole operation.
For anyone considering it I had a blast and felt safe the whole time.

****. There are thousands of PDE participants dying of bird flu even now as we "speak."

Please, come up with something original....

noble you are a tool, sarcasm is the language of the weak.
I posted this as it may provide useful information to those who have or are considering PDE. The accident was handled well by the instructors and the student was treated with respect. This is further illustrates why their program is a first-class operation.

Noble, it's been a while since we've had your acidic and immature posts here. Its been kind of nice actually. But is this the best you could do?

I am really surprised that PDE participants have to take insurance. When I did the 2 day BMW Z8 Driving Experience event in Spartansburg there was no discussion of optional insurance. You would think for $3-4K for a two day event that insurance would be included...but apparently not. How much is the premium?

Personally, I would like to see pics of the destroyed car. I'm all for respecting the program, but I think we could all benefit from seeing how our cars and drivers will fare given a certain level of accident. If the student was injured/killed, that would be another story. But it's a machine. Let's see it!!!
