Talking Hi, 1st post (pics, vids)

Hi,
i've been a member on mbworld (used to have an 03 clk55) for a while, got the 997 about 2 months ago. so far i love it, much more involving to drive and the quality (interior fit/finish/materials) is on another level. my car is an 07 997S arctic silver/cocoa w/carbon fiber, adaptive sport seats, navi.....6 speed.

so far i have lowered it w/ h&r springs and removed the mufflers w/ fabspeed by-pass pipes, i ordered a set of HRE C22's that should be here by the end of the month. i have a few more mods planned, maybe some of you can suggest some others. i also have a few q's that i will save for another post. here are a few vids i made. enjoy

Silver on Cocoa has to be the sexiest combo around... Congrats. Looks surprisingly good with the carbon stuff.
I am glad to see that you came here infected with the mod bug already, so as not to have the remorse that we gave it to you! Welcome. Stick around its a nice place to be at...

Nice Color combo!

I have to say that the "Having fun in the Canyons" sent shivers down my spine do to the lack of driving responsibility on public roads.
Crossing over the double yellow into the opposing lane repeatedly on blind corners is just plain foolish.

During our So Cal NewYears day run an RS America and a Targa tangled unfortunately going opposite directions.....It does happen.

Just my conservative opinion...

Nice pics. Welcome to the Board.

Time to find yourself a Driver's Ed (meaning a little much for street fun given those conditions)

Congrats...I've had quite a few MB's, the last one being an 06 E55. You'll love the Porsche experience.

Hey, the guy didn't come here to get lectured. Lighten up.

Who's to say he's not a better driver than you or any of us?

You really believe that blind corner lane encroachment is resopnsible driving protocol on public roads?

Who made you judge to pass judgement on others' driving?

Like I said, the guy didn't come here to get lectured. He knows the laws of the road. No need to point out the obvious. Just because he may go over the posted speed limit or do other things not considered responsible driving doesn't mean he's not any excellent driver and can out drive any of us here.

It's just a little presumptuous and arrogant when people tell others to learn how to drive, don't you think?

But why can't he stay in his lane on blind corners??

It's just a little presumptuous and arrogant when people tell others to learn how to drive, don't you think? Not when others, me or you, are put at foolish risk
Just my own personal comments on the driving behavior presented in the video. Not a nice way to meet people, and I've seen the results.
Guess I've just done too many AutoX's, and driven too many canyons as if they were an AutoX with a line of cones down the center of the road. A greater skillset is required, harder to do, more concentration required.
