Default CD stuck in player; any options

I have a 2006 Carrera S with a single disc CD player. A CD recently got stuck in the player and the player is not recognizing the CD. Does anyone know how to get the CD ejected manually?

your sol, take it to the dealer, im asuming you havent been there to have the w610 perfomed (thats the fix for cdplayers eating cds) they will likely have to replace the head unit and have you fill out a form for porsche to mail you the cd when they get it out

Happened to me. They had to replace the entire head unit.

Serious??? From a well engineered German Car ? One would expect a simple reset of the PCM will eject the disk. Guess it is engineered to create job for reconditioning PCM too... Thx for the advance warning...

actualy its an easy fix , before the cd gest stuck the recall uses a cd to reprogram the movement fo the cd mechanism, unfortantly if you dont get it done your left with a stuck disc.
I have had some sucess in un sticking them using another cd to lift it but its a pita and not alwasy sucessfull

try starting your car, turning OFF your PCM. Keep it OFF for a couple of minutes and then hit the eject cd button with the PCM still in the OFF state. just happened to me couple of weeks ago and this worked.

Default CD STUCK . . .

This is exactly what happened to me as I was (having a blast!) driving my newly purchased '86.5 928S from ATL to DFW... I have a Blaupunkt Monterey CDM83 and was switching out the CD to better coincide with the drive ('One Wild Night')... As I was trying to get the newly inserted CD to play, I noted car was losing power... pulled over... Ultimately the master cylinder malfunction overrode any musical malady, but now that she is purring again I am back to trying to Dx & Rx the sound system issue.

Owner's manual (I read it for the radio-yikes!) said the re-set button should do it, that the built-in microprocessor has malfunctioned (lots of help there!). . . No dice, though. As you state - the unit no longer recognizes the CD function. If I could only get it to 'open up & say 'ahhhh'!' . . .

Still disc-less . . . Accepting guidance!

Same thing happened to me. Dealer had to order an entirely new PCM unit, but with overnight shipping, I was in and out in less than 48 hours. A minor annoyance, but I got my CD back.

Same thing happened here to my '05 PCM. Dealer had to replace the PCM with a new one and I got an MP3 compatible PCM upgrade out of it.
