I just ordered the AFF 200T jack since the AC jack has almost doubled in price.
The jack I bought from Costco most closely resembles the US General #47246 in the article, except mine has dual hydraulics

I looked up my latest one from Craftsman. Model 50239. Madein China, 2 ton (4000 lb), and very well built. The aluminum parts are billet aluminum,--not sand castings.

As with anything, you get what you pay for.

I have used the Costco jack with good success - very reasonably priced and seems to hold up well.

for some reasons, the two Costcos I went (in March) didn't have the jack so I still haven't bought one.

I'm sure you can order one at your local store, even if they don't regularly stock it.

Sears was bought out by K-Mart a couple of years ago and their Products and selection are going downhill fast.
I recently bought a floor jack from http://www.thetoolwarehouse.net, Model# OTC 1532
2 Ton Capacity Aluminum Racing Jack. Beautiful piece of equipment.

Talk about bad reviews for a product! The Sear low profile jack has horrible reviews.

Walmart has a low profile jack for $89. Anyone used it?

Have not seen the Wal-Mart jack. I did look at the sear jack reviews as I am looking for a second smaller jack.
If Sears had any business sense at all they would remove that item from the lineup or disable the review option on their web-site.

I guess Sears heard you and the others as it is gone now. I have the Harbor Freight $79. special aluminum jack. Other than a problem with the roller, it has worked well for 2 years (never without a jack stand).
