Since this situation can be encountered in places other than your garage, were you cannot previously prepare the area (freinds garage, parking lot, close to a wall, etc) heres a tip that I find very useful,
Roll down the window before exiting the car. Makes it much easier to get out with only one click of the door even with sport seats. It might be a bit of a hassle, but I find it better than exploring the limits of my body's flexibility! lol
