If you're looking at a C4S with X51, you're close to 997TT price territory. And if this is going to be your ultimate Porsche, I think you might as well go whole hog for the 997TT. It's a fantastic street car and a very competent track car.

Call Marco at Champion Porsche. They are the largest in the world, will give you the best price and are used to shipping all over the US. His # is 954-793-8010. Tell him Kim Agster sent you. I just bought a c4 last month and love it. He will get you exactly the car you want.

Thanks again for all of the inputs. It is a big decision and one that seems to have hit a number of you on the forum. I've gotten a clearer view on the positives of both cars. Really hard to judge from my short test drives of a CS and C4S Cab. My dealer has indicated that he'll make a call to the regional rep hoping for an additional allotment. I should hear this week and then "have" to decide. I don't think I'll take the option to wait for a promised, but unconfirmed build month. I'll post when I'm done agonizing!!

As noted above, a C4S with X51 is TT territory. With the TT you get all the above plus the 480HP GT1 derived true dry sump engine...But if you still want a N/A 997 other things to think about are the GT3 if it will fit your lifestyle or wait for MY '08 when the 997S gets Direct Injection with HP at 370++.

Another thought - did you check Targa allocations? They are all 4wd. I owned a 993 Targa and a 996 Targa, and there is a lot to like about them.
