Default More Pics of Carmon Red...

At the request of the earlier post (car lowered), here are a couple more pics of Carmon. Car at normal height

Delivery day this past March in Ft. Worth/Autobahn Porsche. With Lobsters that i hated from day one

City of Keller, Texas, just north of Ft. Worth. A close look will see the speed longiere bra in a color close to carmon. incidentially, most folks hated that bra. I don't care! not one stone chip in 5K miles (and better than clear or colgan IMHO)

Fidelity Investiments in Solana Tx (home of Ross Perot) has a great arch for photo's. with wife's 986

Another at Solana...

Garage

Yesterday at 3pm after waiting all day for the plumber (the excuse to take off from work and detail the car...)

Bob - Great looking car! I'm with you on the lobster forks, they are f-ugly! The Techart wheels, especially with the car lowered, look great! Nice choice of colors. If I were going to order a 997, I would be hard pressed to choose between Carmon Red with Sande Beige Full Leather and Carrara White with Sea Blue Full Leather. Unfortunately, I don't have to make that choice... yet!

fellow in the UK -Howard on Porsche Pete's - has the carmon and sand; outstanding combo. But the more I see the white, the more i'm warming up to it. Especially with BLACK techarts with the silver rims. Now that's hot!
I also like the car that used by Champion Motorsports in Excellence magazine, etc. It's a milky grey with black rims. Must be one of the paint-to-sample colors.

Default Carmon Cab

Here are some shots of my new 06 997 Cab...I love the color. It is an elegant color and changes with the sun and light.

Excellent!! great car and color. instead of carmon red it should be called cameleon red, since it's always a different color

Any more carmon's out there?

In those last pics it looks like "Rustbelt Brown". I'm sure it looks better in person.

I'm guessing that Carmon red is in less than 5% of the new Carreras out there today. It's a shame as it is quite nice. Thanks for uploading.

Anyone think it will have an issue with resale on this color? I'm trying to decide between a lapis blue and carmona red cab...

I agree the Techart wheels are much better looking. Sorry but I can't get excited about the carmon red. But I can certainly understand the desire to be a bit different without spending the $$ Porsche wants for custom colors. The important thing is that you love the color. Enjoy!

Sharptt; you are correct, you have to love the color to have it. i traded in an 03 c2 that was black. it looked great when just waxed but it was a lot of work. Had seal grey, arctic and 2 blues. it was time for a change in a sea of silver (not that I don't love that too). resale?'ll trade it in a couple of years on the next model introduction
