997 Cab Crash
I know this was posted before, but I have never seen pics of this same accident like these. It looks very scary!!!!!!!
If found this post in the 993 Forums.
If you look close at the first pic you can see how the motor twisted from out of the car. Notice the torque converter, unreal. You can imagine the force the car just went through. The 18 year old girl that was killed is a sad story, but she should have learned how to drive a little better don't ya think??
From the 993 Forum:

Apparently she took her fathers brand new 997 Cab on Halloween afternoon without permission plus she was drunk..there are more photos- they just aren't right to post. Let's just say that death from head trama would be an understatement

Nicole Catsouras, 18, of Ladera Ranch has been identified as the woman killed Tuesday afternoon after her black Porsche 911 Carrera clipped a Honda.
She was trying to pass on the right at more than 100 mph on the Foothill (241) Toll Road, the California Highway Patrol said.
Catsouras was driving her father's vehicle south near Alton Parkway when she suddenly switched lanes and lost control of the Porsche. She then cut across the center median, careened across traffic lanes and crashed into an unmanned tollbooth, CHP officials said.
The driver of the Honda Civic, Justin Thompson, 20, of Rancho Santa Margarita, was treated for minor injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Even air bags didn't help on this one. About 18 months ago there was an excellent posting of a hard-top equipped 996 that hit something harder than it on a European autobahn. All three walked away. The car looked a lot like this one. I wonder if this girl had the seatbelt on.

Don't count on this "latest info". Its tags indicate it was registered at least two years ago, and at first glance the exhaust and wheels tell me it's a 996.

She was a beautiful child in WAY too much car... for her skills and her common sense at that point in her life. I can not imagine the depth of the pain that this accident has caused her parents. May God's comfort help them.
First time I've seen the pic of the torque conveter hanging out, so we know it was a tiptronic.

I think I'll get my girls a 4-cylinder Camry or Taurus when they get to be driving age.
