Here is the Honda she hit.

If you're clever, you can see the rest of the gory pictures. Not for the feint of stomach.

I can imagine. But boy was she flying when she hit that honda. Regardless of her stupidity, may she Rest In Peace. And irrigardless, I feel really badly for her parents. I know it's horrible to say, but thank God she only killed herself. Can you imagine if she killed YOUR child or Wife or other?!

Her parents wouldn't have enough time to mourn before you can say "Wrongful Death Suite".

Lucky because he may have caused the accident in the first place and was not seriously hurt?

My speculation of course, but it makes you wonder:

Ben as you can see from the photos the damage the Honda sustained indicates it was going way slower than the Porsche. If the Honda was traveling near the speed limit, a person going 100mph is gaining on the Honda at a rate of 40mph. You can't blame the driver for not seeing the fast approaching car.

Why are you trying to pin the accident on the Honda? Because its a Honda? 100% it was the girl's fault. Did you read the part about her having empty containers of alchohol? Tragic, but it was her fault.

I posted that when the news first broke (as you can see by the time stamp), before more information was available. Yes, of course, the blame lies squarely with her.

But you misread the report. The empty containers of alcohol were in the Honda.

Also, the damage on the Honda could be from the Honda hitting the guard rail after it was clipped. The damage it ultimately sustained could not be attributable to "clipping."

EDIT: The report says the Honda "hit the center median". So my speculation still holds water.

Guys, there are some horribly graphic photos of this accident floating around the internet - shots showing the young lady who was driving the Porsche (a 996, btw) still strapped into the driver's seat with most of her head gone.
This whole deal is so far away from being a joke, especially for any of us with kids, it's just beyond comprehension. If you haven't seen these exploitive photos, I wouldn't recommend looking for them. They were linked on the 986 Forum (PPBB) earlier, but mercifully the moderators yanked 'em. Just awful.

Yes, I've seen them in the OT forum.

Quite sad indeed. I just hope her family and those who knew her personally haven't seen them. But if I were her parents I would want to see. But that's just me. I'm not squeamish at all. It's just reality. You can always learn from reality.
