Default Porsche configurator color problems anyone?

Is anyone else getting weird colors from the Porsche configurator? The wheels are all grey and most of the colors are way off. The good news is Atlas looks more like Atlas and Carrera White is crisper.

I find that the colors on the configurator look crappy on Mac and PC,...on a variety of monitors no less.

I go to the pcna site frequently and never had this problem before. I just noticed this last night. The wheels are dark grey, Cobalt has a green hue, Guards Red and Black have a brown tint. It's something that has happened recently.

..maybe Chris Bangle hacking the Porsche site

It does look like they changed their illustrator software, but it works okay for me.

laura,
just tried it again and it works perfectly.
this time on a mac.
you must have broken your computer.
females are prone to do that!
maybe you just need to color calibrate the monitor?

do you get the choice of 2 dimensional or 3 dimensional configurator w/ safari?
mine bypasses the option and goes straight to 2 dimensional.

Thanks icon,
I don't have a mac but when I use netscape for my browser it bypasses the 3D feature and with explorer the 3D feature comes up. I checked out safari but it only seems to be for a mac.

I can tell you that colors when viewed with a Mac running Internet Explorer are messed up,--so run it with Safari. Much better true to life colors. I never would have thought it could look so different depending upon the browser you were using!

Nooooooo - FireFox Evil - Safari Good...

Seriously - if it's that good I might try out the brand new version of Firefox just released.

Any luck with it yet or has it only been released on the Windows platforms so far...

The configurator is crap, has always been crap, and never is much more than crap.

For the profit margin Porsche has on these vehicles, you would THINK they'd funnel few grand to a more savvy web group and handle this configurator like it should.

True that. I think Mini USA is pretty good.
