Seen similar before. They have to remove your front bumper to install these grills. Bought a pair similar ones for my 996 but was told that they'd have to significantly modify my bumper to install them as it was a 996 C2 so I passed and sold them to a 3rd party. But it's a thought for re-attack maybe. Let me see how yours turns out if you get it done. I believe they come in black and silver.
Good luck

I talked to FarnbacherLoles at the LA auto show, as they had a 425 hp 3.8L Cayman there with the inserts. They told me there were no temperature issues whatsoever , either on or off the track. Theirs had a lot more metal than the Cargraphic inserts, too. I saw a friend's 997 with the Cargraphic inserts on Saturday and like them better. They should flow more air that the FL inserts.
After hearing the comments about the lack of overheating issues, I am shopping for a set now.

Curious to know how it goes, too. I'm tired of fishing leaves and cigarette butts out of the radiators.

you can buy whatever pattern mesh you like and have any body shop install it.
you have to take the bumper off so if you can do this then it is an easy diy.
mine is a honeycomb pattern painted black.
