Default Aftermarket Sirius/XM Modules

Does anyone have any of these installed in their 997?
I'd love to see some pictures.
How do you like them?
Are they hard wired into the radio through the antenna or FM modulated?

Thanks!

I have the XM Commander which is a FM modulated unit. The display fits perfectly without any mounting hardware in the space under the center stack/in front of the gear shift. Antenna is mounted inside the car on top of the dash at the base of the passenger A pillar. Channels changed through small remote.

It is an 80% solution but I am reasonably happy with it. Sound quality is a tic or two below factory radio (I've got the Bose). I optimize the sound quality by selecting "left" rather than symmetrical under "sound" menu.

I had it professionally installed for approximately $200. The unit was about $150.

PM if you need more info.

ps. I have Sirius in one of my other vehicles and, hands down, XM works much better for my rock n' roll tastes.

I'll try and post a pic this weekend.

Thasnks for the Info. I am an XM fan too. Had Sirius in my wife's Audi for about a year. XM has a better selection of music channels for my tastes.

Look forward to your picture of this set-up.

I prefer Sirius programming but the XM Commander is the best external unit for placement in a Porsche. I have one in my Cayenne Turbo and plan on adding one to my 997. This is what it should look like installed
