Default Please post pictures of Eibach lowered 997

I'm having a tough time finding any pics of a 997 lowered with Eibach springs. Please post pictures and impressions if you have them installed. Also, please specify if you have PASM or non PASM suspension.

Thanks

Most have H&R springs. There are several posts with before and after pics. Seems the H&R are the way to go when lowering.

Search the forum on the H&R springs.

Thanks for the pictures. Seems like Eibach lowers the car less and has less rake then then H&R. Is that correct?

Raffi - is the car second from the bottom in you list of pics your car? I love the way that car is set up. Mostly intersted in the wheels and rear wing. Champion or Kinesis F110 wheels? Who makes the wing?

ok...done with "20 questions" for now. Thanks in advance for the feedback

yeah the pictures are of my car with the different wheels i have had so far.
they are the kinesis f110, if you find the champions you should get them right away or else tell me where I can find them, they are much better looking.
the wing is a techart type 3 replica, you can pm me if interested.
i included a pic of the champions

Thanks Raffi.....I don't know man, I really like the F110's. I have a CaymanS which I really like but after seeing a couple of 997's modded a bit with rear wings it has me contemplating a 997 or 997S next year and would definately put the same Techart wing on it that you have on yours and I would most likely put the 110's on it as well. Sweet set up you have my friend.

Raffi - keep the F100's! They are the best looking after-market wheels for a Porsche, IMO!

thanks for the compliments, why not mod the caymanS, it would look nice with some aftermarket 19's and a front bumper.
I guess it might be cheaper to wait for the 997 facelift and pic up a used 05 or 06 997S

Dumb question - what would have more affect on the ride, 20" wheels (up from 19") or lowering?

I would guess that since the 20" wheels have lower profile tires that the ride would be worse.
i havent seen anyone complain about the ride after installing springs on a 997. much more people have done this than go with 20" wheels. also if you go with 20's you are probably gonna end up dropping it later on anyway.
which wheels are you looking at?

I have done some minor mods to the CaymanS. I decided I wanted to stay with 18" rims/tires so I purchased a set of RH AL aftermarket wheels and installed H&R Springs. If I decide to keep it and not go with a 997, I will certainly do some exhaust/engine mods. I just don't want to go through with that and then sell the car in a year or so and lose the $$$. Originally, I liked the styling of the CaymanS a bit more than the 997 but now that I have seen some with GT3 style front bumpers and the Techart wing, I am starting to chang my mind.

those are very nice wheels amerlemans, i think you made a good choice on holding out for the 997 prices to go down further without doing too much more to the cayman.

Thanks for the info. I'm actually thinking ahead to when I inevitabily order a 997TT! Every time I see a pic of a GT3 and TT I realize the reason the GT3 looks so much better is one, the wheels are nicer, and two (and more importantly, I think) is the Gt3 sits lower.

I'm not a huge fan of the TT wheels so just thinking about alternatives. I'm typically not a fan of aftermarket wheels (maybe I'm just getting "old" - 42), not into huge lips, etc. I like the champion's (very close to the GT3 wheels) as well as the Kinesis. I'm thinking of a white TT and debating on black wheels - again, that would be a huge change for me! Whatever I get will have to weigh no more than the stock wheels. I would prefer to stay with 19"
