Wax residue on the edge of your clear bra?

I got a little careless and failed to tape the edge of the clear bra when I was waxing the front of the car. I tried to remove the residue with cloths and finally a toothbrush soaked in Meguiar's Quick Detailer, and severall other brands of the same type of product, to no avail.
At the prep area at the Parade in Portland, I saw Richard Griot walking by and asked him what he thought I should use. He got a microfiber cloth and a bottle of his Speed Shine, used some elbow grease, and it came off. Guess Speed Shine had the right solvent for the wax.
Saved my bacon, as those judges were their usual hyper-picky selves.

I've found that if you get at the right angle with a MF it should come out. Be careful not to use so much force that you start to lift the edge of the bra though or it may loose adhesion.

AAAAHHHH!!!
After reading this post a few weeks ago I sat here thinking "this would never happen to me."
Well I'm off to my garage to get the wax off the edge of my clear bra.

I'm always taping film areas now. There are quite a few on my car, so it takes time to tape all edges.
Still better getting wax out of a seam than touchup of a rock chip!

How about the dirt that lines the front edge of the clear bra-like material just in front of the rear wheels? I got everything from the top, bottom and rear edges - but the front edge remains dark and I'm cautious about getting it clean without peeling up the film.

Next, try PLexus in that area to see if it will clean the seam. Be careful in the area!
If it still didn't lift it, you need to soak it with a solution of Dawn and water and let it dwell, then, using a soft toothbrush or go to a cosmetics store and pick-up an eybrow brush and go over the seam lightly. Wipe off the first try with a towel to see if it got loose. If not, apply a bit more and let it dwell longer. Anything stronger or more alkaline will attach the adhesive.
Also, check with your installer as to the mfg of the film. They too can give you some insight.
It takes time to get it off, don't rush, go slow and always check the area. Once clean, let it fully dry and see if the seams again are a bit loose with the MF glass. I've re-attached the rear ones on older Porsche cars with some 3M adhesive on a dental pick (covered with a plastic "condom" for these picks) then tape it down. First, I had to be sure what the adhesive was going to stick to was clean and free of wax or oils.
And then there's always having new ones installed.

Seriously though, I'll take a shot at cleaning it. Where can you get things like Plexus?

As for Plexus, here's one site that has it: PLEXUS Plastic Polish
They also have numerous items for your car. One site I can tell you that has some very nice products and owner is also a "P" car owner. Here's the link to Autopia Car Car: Autopia Store

Spray wax and a clean microfiber works well.
