Default i-pod interface NOW!

Nav-tv says their $600 i-pod interface is available now for delivery.
Anyone have any experience with this unit?
According to them, plugs into CD changer plug, needs 12volt lead and is recognized as a Cd changer with full i-pod control.
Another group buy??

I spoke with Nav-tv and a local dealer. My local dealer in NJ has installed the unit and he says it works. Nav-tv may give a discount for a group order.

Detailed Sounds in Caldwell - 403 0457. They installed one on a c4s with Nav and said it works great. The unit also charges the ipod at the same time.

Nav-TV Website only shows support for the Cayenne. Is there another kit for the 997?

The group buy is well underway for the Dension unit....We posted this weeks ago.

Feel free to add your name/model/year/nav info:

eric@bumperplugs.com

The unit from the source you mentioned is not yet available for release for the Porsche setup, had minor glitches at the beginning, and the Dension units are in testing in the US in vehicles right now for final release any day....

I'm not one to cheap-out, but that's rather steep for this device. Any chance of a schematic or information on the device? There's NO WAY this device "cost" that much to manufacture. If anyone has this unit please post pics of it and the connectors.

The 'unit' is NOT in release yet. Note the date of availability...it is STILL in US testing on Porsches.

If the group buy is large enough (getting there), we expect to bring the Dension unit to the group at a decent enough savings over list.

SilverSteel....I completely agree with you that it is an absurd price.....However, my understanding is that the MOST licensing fee is VERY expensive....

With all due respect to Eric, the Nav-tv unit is not in testing and is on the market. Unlike the Dension unit, this is real and not vaporware. I spoke with the installer and the unit has been installed and is working. The unit is installed behind the head unit and the controls are on the screen so you can view your playlists and the track which is playing.
