Default Killed in the Malibu Canyons

Someone in a brand new C4S was killed in the canyons today. Car was brand new. Anyone know who it might've been?

That's never good news. I would bet it had less than 2000 miles on it.

Haven't heard anything yet. I drove through in the morning with no incident or ambulances.

I've looked through some local news channel websites in the LA area and haven't seen anything.
I hope it's not one of our peeps.

Those canyons are dangerous.. Especially for people without formal driving training.
I ride my Harley and Pcar through at least once a month. Even at slow speeds there are some really dangerous areas.

My condolesences to this guys poor family. Hopefully he didn't have a passenger.

Just like B, I am on those canyons a couple times a week with my bike/car. This area has a history of bad news for drivers who speed through there. The is the same place where the guy halfed the Enzo a couple months ago, and a couple of CHP were also killed speeding in a Ferrari. Bikes go down every weekend taking corners to fast. Not a suitable place for beginners, no doubt...

Often it's the driver of the other car who misses the damn apex and runs into the opposite lane. Something like this could happen to any of us there, de trained or not. God bless him.

Not to nit-pick, but both of those accidents happened on wide-open straights of Pacific Coast Highway. However, it was lack of driving skills (and common sense) that caused those wrecks just like the morons who can't handle the twists and turns of the canyon runs.
There's been nothing on the local news about today's reported 997 fatality, which is odd. The news media are usually quick to jump all over a death in an expensive sports car.
