Default Which Car Cover?

Which car cover does everyone have, and where did you get it? I'm considering one for occasional indoor use. Yes, I know I should be driving it all the time but when I'm out of town or not using it for a few days I'd prefer to keep that dust off.

Yes, I did use the search funciton.

Covercraft Weathershield. Very easy to roll up, offers the best paint protection, can be washed at home. Most mailorder shops have them. I got mine through Griots.

www.carcoversdirect.com has a chart showing different materials and how to chose based on your needs/conditions. They make oem for bmw.

I also bought at carcoversdirect and have no complaints. Their delivery was really quick. When you choose a top, take into consideration that you have a convertible which sometimes leads to problems as outlined under Item 1 of this post: https://rennlist.com/forums/showpost...30&postcount=2

I bought the Porsche Techquipment indoor Car cover for the 911...
"Designed for use out of the weather, as indoor protection from dust and dirt. Made from a breathable, antistatic material, features full-color Porsche logo."

Covercraft's are great. IMO this one is a little overkill. You may want to get the Block-It® 350F Series, I've got three of them that I use for my vehicles. It's a custom fit and lightweight material. If you order it at AutoBarn.com it's $154 or so and qualifies for free shipping.

I have the Tequipment indoor cover and it is the best. From Suncoast Porsche (ask for Phil) it isn't much more than the aftermarket but fits the car like a glove and appears to be very soft on the inside. Much nicer than any car cover I had before. Worth the difference.

I have the Plushweave from California Car Cover www.calcarcover.com and have been happy with it. Light, soft and no scratches.

You can get the Euro indoor car cover OEM'd to PAG (made in Italy by Andrea), from Gert at Carnewal in multiple colors:

IIRC, there have been group buys from rennlist on this cover in the past.;

You mean there is a search function here? And it works!

Custom fit Dustop (techsoft) from covercraft. Works great for dust indoors only!

Thanks everyone, I figured it out. I was searching for CAR COVER and it brought too many irrelevant search results.

Keep in mind that the usual cover that one would put on a Porsche changes radically when you own a Cabriolet. The higher quality covers have so much thickness to them and they help with little dings and scraps while it is in the garage yet it will leave a serious amount of lint on your top. You need to buy a cover based upon the cabrio top. It has to be slick,--which sadly, doesn't offer up much ding protection. (The ultimate is TWO covers,--the slick for underneath) and the thicker one on top for padding)...
