It seems as if we've been reading about this saga forever - maybe in California there's a grace period from date of purchase until date of title. He bought out of state too so maybe that added some days to the calendar. He drove it long enough to get to about 1,700 miles so I'd think it would qualify as "used" but maybe by Califonria law it is still "new".

"The In-Service date has yet to begin as well"

Unless the selling dealer (somewhere in Ohio I believe) never completed the transaction, I don't understand how the above statement could be true. I think PCA starts the in service dates once the buyer takes delivery. It certanly is "one-of-a-kind" - hope he gets what he wants.

Not a combination that will hold value...at least not in this country.
Interesting how money and good taste seldom go hand-in-hand, isn't it?

PCNA in service date is when the deal gets punched and dealer gets credit for the sale on eDCS / seperate from registration.

One could run the VIN in eDCS and get the "in service date" ....The warrantee clock is running...

He just never completed his end of the transaction....register the vehicle and pay taxes and fees to the DMV in CA.

This guy is a total tool. He sent me a threatening (bodily harm) email because I disagreed with him! WTF? I'm so glad this guy is gone.

There's all sorts of 'taste' here. What a shame to see a normal car go so far awry.

I had been considering this a "to each his own" situation until now, and hadn't commented in any of the threads on the modifications...but for this guy to misrepresent the car as Black on Can-can Red with optional Gemballa seats is BS.

I didn't say much about what he did to that poor car but I know he's going to hell for it. You just can't get away with something like that and not be punished for it.---------mike

Haha, that's classic. If he brings that car back to stock he'll have a better chance of selling it, but who cares?

Black looks like silver in a certain light, not really.
