It is a well known and unfortunate fact that you never can recover the cost of aftermarket options upon resale. A costly OEM option list will also add little to the "book" value over that of a lightly optioned car. To expect otherwise is unrealistic. Regardless of what the owner may wish to sell the car for, and any other claims, it is still a used car. Selling price should be $10 to 15K below original sticker.

He should give me those seats as payment for being cordial towards him.

well nbot sad to see him go, I still think the interior is sort of neat but he's misrepresenting the car.
Maybe the new owner will join rennlist, and be you know - cool.

That truly looks like ***, from the kromed rimz to the reckless use of imitation can-can red leatherette.

Will this Frankenstein break $50K? Well, then again-- maybe that professional ball player....

My questions:
1.) How much will it cost to ease my psychic pain and put this car back to its blessed original spec?
2.) Does Porsche know that their factory warranty has been extended at
the original owner's discretion? I almost feel bad-- this is too easy.

I still don't understand why he would sell his car after all the trouble he has gone through to get one and the time and money he spent on the mod. Oh well, I guess he realized what he did to the interior and just too costly to reverse the damage or he just found out Porsche voided the warranty because of what he did to the stereo/PCM.

As I recall, somebody asked if he was bipolar. He originally had to have a terra interior and had a problem with an out of town dealer on a used car (I wonder who was the problem there?). I sent him a PM offering some legal assistance and he never replied. He then gets a black interior and claims it is exactly what he wanted. After trying to save a little money on a used car he then pisses away a fortune making a beautiful Porsche ugly. Nothing he does makes a lot of sense. I find it hard to believe this was his 3rd or 4th Porsche since he seems like some easily bored guy with too much disposable income who bought the wrong car. I guess his garish mods didn’t quite satisfy his need to stand out.

Any bets if he will jump in on this thread?

He purchased his car from the same out of state dealer (Ohio) I purchased mine from. They were great to work with.

I am not sure why he says in his E-Bay ad his car has never been titled . I know I left Ohio with a title in hand in my name. If he paid cash, he has the title. If he financed it, he does not have the title, because the finance company has it. Either way, the car was titled.

Ohio takes possession of the Certificate of Origin that is delivered with the car and in essence "swaps" it for an Ohio title.

My car has since been registered here in NV, but I still have the title.

I bet he will...tools like this always have to have the last word...which would probably explain why most of the posts that he was involved in went on for dozens of pages.

Seriously... this guy was a total a-hole... and his insecurities were glaring. Every little tweak he made to his car, he "confirmed" with rennlist, to get a false sense of validation. Plus, he was confrontational on criticism of his changes. I am really glad to see he went to a bentley.

Lastly, his car is absolutely hideous, and the aftermarket radio looks terrible...

I believe that will be a difficult car to sell on ebay. The market for a car with these flashy alterations doesn't cruise ebay, but requires a broker to move. There's just too much glued to the car.
