Default Huge dilemma

I was offered a trade yesterday for my car.

I local high end dealer says he'd give me a 2005 Bentley Conti GT with 17,500 miles for my car and $20K as she sits.

The car is Dark Saphire on Linen with the full birdseye maple interior...Stunning...

He seems to have a local athelete, an Oakland Athletic, who he won't tell me which one, who desparately wants my car.

I am VERY TEMPTED to pull the trigger.

Should I?

I read a very detailed article that said "the Bentley Conti GT is the best car we've ever driven!"

Only if you can make money. Ask for green stuff and let them broker the deal.

Go for it, Pete. . . . That way you can proudly say your creation was so good some pro athlete just had to have it!

The Bentley sounds nice, if it suits your tastes.

Default as I said

the dealer wont reveal his name...

Also when dealing with atheletes, generally they dont do their own negotiations. They generally just walk into a dealership and say "I want this, get it for me"

Default now now Ben, you wouldnt be trying...

to get rid of me here would you?

LOL

Could you imagine me on a Bentley forum making changes....

You know I'm already eyeballing an install....

By the way, I could care less who buys the car as long as the deal makes econimic sense. I wonder what the dealer would sell my car to him for though....it would have to be at or about $120 because that car books out at $140.

I just did my math and I've got about $50K retail of mods in this car.

LOL ... Good one. ... No, not that at all.

Once the deal goes through I'm sure you'll get to know the name of the athlete. If he's a star player, you can casually say to your friends, "You know so-and-so? ... I pimped his ride."

Do you know the value of that Bentley? ... plus $20k? ... Sounds like a good deal to me. Besides, if you should ever decide to sell your 911, you'll never get as much money for it as you would now. ... It's up to you.

IMO take the cash and order the GT3 or TT. I would think that reselling the Bentley for top dollar would be very difficult (don't know).

Default damn i havnt ever even redlined my car

babying it during break in, Im always eyeballing the damn tach making sure i dont exceed 4K rpm.

What a waste, bought a Porsche and never having the opportunity to "drive it"

Hmm, WTF, the deal does through, I say I take on one last whirlwind....

Hope athletes dont read Rennlist.

I doubt I'd buy another Porsche. I'd have to make a step in the right direction....

430, Bentley, Galardo, etc...

I need something mindnumbing, I bore easy. I am diagnosed with ADD

Default when I think turbo

I just think of a faster version of what I have now.

My car is fast. Would a faster version of what I have now do it for me?

Auto-nirvana? Theres something about how a car interracts with you that gives you that "glow". It's not always more speed that gives it to you. Sometimes it's fit-finish/creature comforts/head turning power/solidity/reliability/style etc...the intangible things that make men fall in love with steel.

Hmm, I'm not sure about that.

Dont get me wrong, I love my car, just wondering would I retrace my steps albeit faster ones.

I dont see 997's compared to Gallardos too often...anyone on here have any experiences with ownership of one?

You mean as in you like to add this, add that? We knew that already.

Isn't that Bentley worth over $100k?

You should counter offer. Tell him $15k and it's a deal!
