Help - my car lost in transit
My car is a May build, finished around May 30; VIN issued next day. It's now been almost three weeks since then, and according to dealer no update from PCNA. Is this unusual? Any suggestions?

I guess there were many cars in transit from Europe. Lots of 7 series were gone as I remember.
In any case if you were a car nut soul waiting for you precious ordered to spec car, you would not want to get that bad news.

Could take 10 days from VIN to boat, then 12-14 days on the water. You are looking at 4 weeks from finish to arrival....for you probably Baltimore depending on the dealer.
Then a few days with customs and pdi, then trucking, another week or so.
Relax, but what sucks is your dealer is not getting you updates. It should go ONVESL within 7-10 days of VIN assigned. Sounds like a lazy salesman to me.

it was longer than usual to get to boat, but PCNA seems to be slow in updating this month. The car had an onvesl date of 6/19, and no update from PCNA on when that boat will dock. It could be arriving any day at port. For all I know, it could arrive at port before PCNA tells me what boat its on...

Yes, this was not dealer's problem, but example of PCNA not having a particularly efficient tracking system. I guess I was spoiled by my BMW tracking six years ago (!), when I had access to the tracking and was able to monitor entire process, including where ship was at any one moment.
