To kill a 997 temporarily (OT)
I'm trying to play a joke on my wife. Besides pulling the battery(which she will notice), is there a relay or fuse I can pull which will easily make the car unable to start but still have power to the other functions? Obviously I don't want any damage to the car either. Looking through the fuse box, I found the ignition relay but wanna make sure it isn't death for the car.
Thanks in advance

Let's see - reprogram all your settings - engine re-learns it curves - if Tip it has to relearn you driving pattern, etc., etc., etc....

Vengeful joke... Being juvenile is a great way to have fun with your better half. You should see what she did to me.
Reprogramming is only if I pull the battery. That's why I'm asking if there's another way.

Easier trick...my wife thought she would spill some dark mabel syrup under the back bumper and pretend to notice it first in the gargage...that meant more in my household.

Don't do it. Too scary. The car is a computer. Would you pull the plug on your desk top and expect no problems next time you boot up? You could get "system faults" requiring a trip to dealer. (???)

There ya go - take "The B's" advice - sounds like a good trick!
Man - glad my wife doesn't pull this stuff on me - I would be dead of heart failure! ;-)
