Europipe has a solid reputation, click on video to see and hear their 997S version.

Guys,

Thanks for the info. Not looking for more power - 997S if fine in that way. I'm going to hang tight for a while and see if I still care about the sound. Probably just a bit of an adjustment coming off the 360.

I'm really happy to be back in the P-car club. So far the 997 is really good. I like the daily driver part of it. Can take it to Home Depot or work - things the F-car really didn't go for. No more panic about valets, tight parking, etc. You really get more out of these cars because you can drive them more. Also nice is not worrying that some ungodly repair bill is right around the corner.

Biggest plus so far is Sport Mode and PASM. The stiffer suspension and better throtle response really improves the experience.

Regards,
Tim

Have full AWE Exhaust....headers, high flow cats, mufflers-sounds awesome. PSE sucks-especially the price!

-Fabspeed: Some like the sound & some don't, good quality & makes power.
-Tubi: Good sound & power, high quality, expensive.
-Cargraphic: Good sound, quality & power. Available in different sound levels.
-Fvd: Good power & quality. Available in different sound levels.
-BB: Never seen any reports for it. Reputed to be lesser quality.
-Supersprint: Good quality & sound, makes power & expensive.

Be aware of the following:
-"Export" means loud.
-"Tuv" compliant is not too loud.
-Muffler bypass is angry neighbor loud.
-Don't expect more than 5 to 10 horsepower.
-The louder mufflers don't make any more power than one you can live with.
-For more meaningful power & torque gains, replace the headers & catalytics.
-Don't get 100 cell cats, may eventually cause check engine lights.

And finally: All of us making these wonderful suggestions(even me), don't have to pay for them or suffer the unintended consequences.
When you say "good power" what do you base this upon?

+1. I had the full AWE system put on last Friday. Great fit. Fine sound. Less weight. No CEL’s. Any performance gain is gravy IMHO.

Go to video.google.com (which seems to be down right now) and search for "ronmart" and you'll see a couple videos of my car with PSE unplugged. You can get an idea of what it sounds like, but it is MUCH different in real life (duh).

I find the PSE noise level to be great and not annoying, despite the fact that I drive with my top down. I was at the track for 5 hours a few weeks ago with the top down and I absolutely loved hearing that PSE roaring and I had several people come tell me how great the car sounds on the track. I've also had lots of air cooled 911 owners tell me how my exhaust is the first water cooled 911 they'd consider owning.

Most people that do sound comparo's of PSE usually do it with it plugged in and the Sports Button pressed, and that is only giving you about 20% of what it can do. It isn't until you unplug it that you have a real comparison to other brands and I can't imagine anyone not liking that sound. Of course, if you do need to be more subdued then you can just plug it back in and have variable sound levels (low - sports off, medium - sports on, and high - unplugged).

It is expensive, it is heavier, but it is the best money I spent on my car. If I had to buy my car over again and was only allowed 1 option, that'd be the first one I'd get.

Default I think that I am the only one promoting the Evolution System

I have it on my car and love the sound. These guys make some wicked stuff for the 997 including a Super Charger kit that adds about 100HP/Tq.

Check out there website;

Good Luck
