Question Pls post a picture of inside the (fuel) filler flap

I have a 997 C2S and I noticed today that my filler flap is not locked and thus can be opened freely whenever it is pushed inside. And there is no spring action when it is opened. I found an "U" shape metal inside the filler flap detached from the hinge. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could post pictures of the inside the filler flap so that I may fix it. Thanks.

Sounds like it's normal to me.

Lock your car and see if the lid opens when locked. If not, that's how it's supposed to work.

If you can't do it the dealer will fix it for free!
