Anyone know what Porsche dealers charge to certify an 05 for CPO?
I'm thinking of seeing if I can add it on to a low mile 05 997 s cab...
Is it a flat rate for all porsches to add that "CPO Warranty" on -- or is it subject to negotiation / markup and or different pricing by each dealer individually? --- or is it flat rate priced at every p dealer?

I runs around $1500 but they can't certify a car they didn't technically buy/sell. They would have to buy it from you then certify it and sell it back to you. Of course that could all be done on paper if you have the right relationship with your dealer. But I wouldn't really bother to certify on 05 myself. The CPO warranty doesn't cover as much as the original factory warranty and there should be sufficient time left on it for on 05.

Having a CPO won't override the existing warranty, and reduce the amount of coverage under the bumper to bumper, will it?

I got the CPO on my 06' 997S w/2500 miles because I wanted to get the extra 2yrs and 50k miles above and beyond the 4yr/50. The cost for mine was $1600. I believe the CPO is something that you can get at any time as long as your willing to get your car inspected and pay for the cost.
