Default How difficult is it to install European side lights

I bought the lights (they're white not yellow) and was wondering whether i can install or need to have dealer do it. I'm reasonably handy...installed bluetooth module in my M5.

5 minute job.
It should be covered in your owner' manual, under the section for bulb replacement.

You can also install the 'yellow' bulbs in the clear sidemarkers, or the 'clear amber' bulbs (they are 'clear' until turned on, then they are 'yellow').
They've been discussed here, the 996 and Cayenne forums a bunch of times.

Here's the most recent thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ht=side+marker

I think I'm the only one who likes the amber side markers. I mean, I REALLY prefer the amber over the white ones... it gives my car a tiny little colorful side-view touch.

Don't be afraid, all you have to do is to yank the old one out and snap the new one in. No tool is needed

Actually you're not supposed to yank 'em off. Manual will tell you to use access hole in fenderwell and push unit off from inside. You actually end up doing a little of both in my experience. I found a real short, thin screwdriver worked here. To release the connector, you push in on the metal wire clip and off it pops.

Actually, I am with you on this one. I feel like I have been browbeaten nearly into submission about getting the clear markers. I really prefer the amber and I have no doubt my intentions to turn are more clear to the other idiots on the road.

Is it just me, or does everyone else have trouble reading this while staring at his avatar?

I agree she is much better looking than Dennis Miller.

I would love to be able to use her access hole. She is a new favorite.
