Default Das Schild Sale

Just a heads up - automotion.com (performance products) has the new 997 Das Schild hood liner on sale for 20% off, regular $199 sale $159. I ordered one (have been meaning to get one for some time). Also today I got another email - free shipping on all products (I missed this one) - with priority code TXX6M23.

I have no affiliation, yada yada.

Anyone on the list installed the hood liner and why?

I did on my 996. The fit and finish is great, and matches the OEM plastics finish very well. I primarily did it because I have seen damage done on hoods from unsecured flying crap in the luggage compartment, and made more sense to protect the inside of the hood for a mere $150 (I bought it directly from them at a PCA event), than face a potential big repair expense down the line. I'm also not affiliated and highly recommend the product.

Got my Das Schild and installed it (took about 2 minutes). Looks very nice and clean, and leaves me feeling less nervous than I usually do closing the hood when the trunk has too much junk in it (like it does now).

thanks for the tip. Was cruising automotion a couple days ago and saw their collection, including those. With aluminum hoods now, protection is more important than ever before.

Jim,
Looks great...gives a more 'finished off' appearance to the trunk lid
Thanks for the photo

Is the sale still on because I did not find the sale price? Or is there another code for discount?

OK, discount applied when you checked out. The free shipping code supposedly expired but I called in the ordered and got the free shipping. Thanks for the tip and saving me $$.

Just got off the phone with them and they said that since it was 20% off hat they would honor the free shipping. Sounds like you received a different story. Can you please confirm that you received both the 20% and the free shipping.

Guys,--I did the same thing,--ordered about $500 worth of stuff with the hood thingy,--they gave me the 20% off and also pushed the free-ship deadline off for me,--but perhaps as I am only just up the road.
