Interesting perspective. I can see possible lingering resentment toward the Germans as passed on to the generation or two after WWII, but I don't see why any resentment toward us.
I don't think they'd still be peeved over that hardy party that got a little overboard in Beantown. Or that gentlemanly dispute over inalienable rights that we hold to be self-evident that got misunderstood and got a little carried away as a result. Or that little spat of 1812 where we meant what we said in the aforementioned dispute. .... Ever since then we've been chummy chaps and the best of allies, often standing together alone against the world.
As for bashing the Corvette? Heck, anyone can do that. You don't need pent up resentment to do that. The car does a good job of earning it all on its own.
After reading "My go anywhere 997" thread, I thought mr.jones went on another Badlands adventure and literally killed the 911. I was very relieved to see the content of this thread was just the knucklehead Brit taking the **** out of the Germans.
